Publications

My major publication is a history of federal archaeology in the Southeast in the Great Depression of the 1930s, A New Deal for Southeastern Archaeology.  Published by the University of Alabama Press in 1996, the book covers archaeological projects of the Smithsonian Institution, Civil Works Administration, Works Progress Administration, National Park Service, and Tennessee Valley Authority.
